A creative meeting with the leading master of the stage of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Tatyana Likhacheva, took place on June 16 at the Vitebsk Regional Library. The event was held as part of the «Kolasovtsy» project, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous theater.
Tatyana, winner of the prestigious prizes of the Belarusian Union of Theatrical Figures — «Crystal Star» and «Crystal Peacock» — shared with the guests her memories of childhood, her path to the profession, and her studies at the Minsk Theater and Art Institute, where she met her future husband, actor Gennady Shkuratov.
The host of the evening, Alexander Zamkovsky, literary editor of the theater, recalled the dozens of iconic roles played by the actress. Among them are Ganna in the play «Simon Music» based on the poem by Yakub Kolas, Anya from Chekhov's «Cherry Orchard», Golda in Grigory Gorin's «Memorial Prayer»... Tatyana Likhacheva also spoke about the difficult work on the image of Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk in the play «The Cross of Euphrosyne» based on the play by Irina Maslyanitsyna, and about her collaboration with playwright Alexei Dudarev, who dedicated the play «Luti» to her.
Kolas colleagues – Artistic Director of the Theater Konstantin Goncharov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Vyacheslav Grushov, and Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Galina Bukatina – noted not only the talent and skill of Tatyana Likhacheva, but also her responsible attitude, her exactingness toward herself, and her attentiveness to colleagues and friends. Friends and fans of the artist's work, including Irina Venger, Tatyana Pasternak, and Elena Boboriko, expressed their gratitude and wished Tatyana new and interesting roles.
The «Kolasovtsy» project will continue its work in the library throughout the year. The audience is waiting for new meetings with artists and events dedicated to the legends of the Kolasov stage.
