On March 13, a round table «Local history movement in Polotsk region: experience, achievements and opportunities» was held at the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Polotsk Local History Society.
Scientists, museum employees, archives, local historians from Minsk, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Polotsk and the Polotsk region, Miory took part in the round table.
Head of the library's local history department Larisa Rogacheva gave a report «The role of library local history in the local history movement of the 21st century. Priority areas of activity (using the work of the Vitebsk Regional Library as an example)».
