On March 13, a lecture by composer Alexander Ivanov was held, dedicated to one of the most majestic and emotionally intense symphonies of the 20th century – Symphony № 5 by the Austrian composer and conductor Gustav Mahler.
This masterpiece, written in 1901–1902, is one of Mahler's most famous and significant works. In his lecture, Alexander I. revealed not only the musical features of the work, but also its historical context, as well as the influence it had on the development of symphonic music.
The lecture was accompanied by musical examples, which allowed for a deeper understanding of the composer's intentions and enjoy the beauty of his music. Participants were able to immerse themselves in the analysis of the key moments of the symphony and ask their questions.
