Exhibition of children's drawings «We are bequeathed to protect the world»

Since March 10, the regional library has opened an exhibition of the winners of the regional stage of the open republican competition of children's drawings «We are bequeathed to protect the world». The exhibition presents the works of schoolchildren and students of Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region.

This year, the competition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Its goal is to instill in the younger generation respect for the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and the heroic deeds of the soldiers who fought during the Great Patriotic War. The competition is also aimed at developing such moral qualities as heroism, friendship, patriotism, internationalism and love for the Motherland.

The participants' works were assessed in three age categories: 7–9, 10–12 and 13–15 years. Participants were offered a variety of creative topics, including: «They Fought for Their Homeland», «My Dear Veterans», «Victory Day Through the Eyes of Children», «My Family and the Great Victory», and «Children Draw Heroes of the Great Patriotic War».

The exhibition will run until March 20, and we invite everyone to attend this significant event to see how young artists express their love and respect for the history of their country.
