The library continues the cycle of meetings «Success Lab: from idea to business» within the framework of the national plan of events for the Year of Quality in 2024.

On April, 30 Vitebsk Regional Library named after V. Lenin, became a participant of the project and invited students of Vitebsk school № 11 named after M. M. Bakhtin, to the regular meeting.

There is a common perception that the profession of librarian is boring and uninteresting. But it is not. A modern librarian is not only a keeper of books, but also a specialist in information technology. Today librarians not only work with various information carriers, but also create electronic resources that optimize search processes and provide remote access to information.

At this moment, everything is intertwined in the librarian profession: the creativity of a publisher, an actor, a designer, a screenwriter, the accuracy of an accountant, the communication skills of a manager, and many other qualities.

In order to debunk myths about the dryness and unpopularity of the librarian's profession, the head of Vitebsk Regional Library named after V. Lenin Tatyana Adamyan and the deputy director for main activities Olga Komendantova made a presentation to the children.

For whole hour teenagers were immersed into the world of the profession of modern «keeper of knowledge», got acquainted with the areas of work, professional and career opportunities of employees and learned many interesting facts from the history of the regional library.
