Virtual Reference Service (VRS) operates on the basis of the Regulations.
The VRS operates on a non-commercial basis and is available to all users.
The VRS performs one-time inquiries of remote users, including searching for and providing information on the availability of publications in the funds of Vitebsk Regional Library, thematic, factual inquiries, including local history inquiries.
Inquiries are performed on the basis of the library's information and bibliographic apparatus (catalogs, card file cabinets, electronic databases).
Users are limited to one inquiry per day.
HOW TO ASK A QUESTION?
Only registered users can ask questions.
Fill out the registration form. If you are a registered user, log in using your account.
Before asking a question, use:
archive of completed inquiries;
answers to frequently asked questions.

If you do not find the answer, fill out the request form. Ask your question in a clear and concise way, without abbreviation of words.
WHAT QUESTIONS DOES THE BIBLIOGRAPHER ANSWER?
about the availability of publications in the library fund (books, magazines, newspapers, etc.);
about the library department that provides the desired publication;
about the output of a book or article: the year of publication, the number of pages, the source of publication, etc.;
factual information (the meaning of a term, abbreviation, the date of a historical or cultural event, etc.);
selection of information on a specific topic that is not time-consuming and does not require in-depth search.
WHEN CAN I GET THE ANSWER?
You can get the answer within 2 working days, excluding weekends and holidays.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE ANSWER?
The answer to your question will be sent to your e-mail address and to the Archive of Completed Inquiries.
WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?
Questions concerning solution of educational tasks, provision of ready-made research papers (essays, course papers, graduation papers, theses, etc.), as well as reference lists to them, are not accepted.
