Readers of the Vitebsk regional library get acquainted with the exhibition project «Books as a gift to the President» throughout November.
Part of the unique collection of books donated to the President of the Republic of Belarus provides an opportunity to get to know more closely valuable publications that have already become part of the rich cultural heritage of the country.
In the format of excursions, students of secondary and higher educational institutions of the city and district visit the exhibition. During the excursion, librarians share interesting facts about some publications, their authors and the importance of personal gifts for the formation of book culture in the country.
One of the most massive excursion groups were schoolchildren from Novkinskaya secondary school. The collection of publications made a great impression on them. The students were struck not only by the highly artistic design, but also by the content and themes of the books. A sightseeing tour of the library was also part of the visit. The guests got acquainted with various library resources, learned about the available services and about modern technologies in librarianship, thanks to which books are given a new life in the digital space.
The exhibition «Books as a gift to the President» aroused interest among the participants and listeners of the 10th scientific and practical conference «Vitebsk Region», including students of the Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. For 2 days, they got acquainted with the publications in detail.
The exhibition project «Books as a gift to the President» became an inspiring experience for all visitors. They took with them new knowledge, vivid impressions and a desire to read more, which is extremely important for the formation of cultural and intellectual experience.
