On November 14, the «Laboratory of Success: from Idea to Business» project provided high school students from M. Bakhtin Secondary School No. 11 with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a theatrical atmosphere at the regional library.
A meeting with the artistic director of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater Konstantin Goncharov and students from the Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts demonstrated the talent and professionalism of future actors and inspired schoolchildren to creative achievements.
A group of college students led by Konstantin G. presented excerpts from plays by A. Ostrovsky, whose works tenth-graders are currently studying as part of their Russian literature lessons. Acting and emotional interpretation helped to better understand the feelings and experiences of the characters, as well as to comprehend the richness of Ostrovsky's language. This gave high school students the opportunity not only to appreciate the art of performance, but also to think about what role creativity can play in their own lives. The schoolchildren were interested in the backstage of theatrical life: how actors prepare for a performance, what traditions they have, whether there are conflicts, and also how important teamwork and creative thinking are to achieve goals.
Konstantin Goncharov shared his personal experience of choosing a creative profession. From the artistic director of the Vitebsk Drama Theater, the schoolchildren received an idea of modern theater art and its current trends. He emphasized that in the world of art, talent is only part of the equation, and often it is not enough to achieve the desired goals. Teenagers heard advice on the necessary skills and qualities for a successful career in any profession.
The project «Laboratory of Success: from Idea to Business» is aimed at developing creative thinking in high school students, allowing them to realize that success requires not only ideas, but also courage, diligence and willingness to experiment. Undoubtedly, such meetings enrich the educational process and help to form broader prospects and opportunities for self-realization of teenagers in the future.
