More than 150 visitors to the exhibition «The World of Bookmarks» have already seen exhibits from 35 countries, made of various materials: from leather and wood to glass and papyrus. Young viewers were especially impressed by modern bookmarks, which can perform many functions – from flashlights and calculators to toys and book stands.

Each item from the collection of one of the largest collectors of bookmarks Elena Bulkina is amazing. The impeccable style and sophistication, technology and versatility of such a simple object prove that this is not just an auxiliary element for reading. This bright diversity emphasizes the importance of books and book culture in modern life, as well as the significance of the library as a center of knowledge and cultural exchange.
