Scientific Secretary Nadezhda Melkina not only coordinates scientific research in the region's libraries, but also inspires colleagues to master modern information technologies and digital transformation. Under her leadership, important seminars and webinars are held to exchange experience and knowledge, thanks to which the professionalism of librarians in the region increases, and the quality of services provided improves. She also controls the release of scientific information and bibliographic publications.
Nadezhda M. is actively involved in the development and implementation of special creative projects, competitions and marathons, including as a host. Her initiatives and projects find a positive response among colleagues and users.
Svetlana Yelenskaya is not just the head of the youth department, but a real inspirer and innovator. Thanks to her persistence and creative approach, the children's website of the regional library has found a new lease of life, and its traffic has increased several times. The online projects «Young War Heroes» and «Wonderworkers of the Palette» are not just digital resources, but bridges connecting the younger generation with the legacy of previous generations. The latter is dedicated to illustrators and has no analogues among other libraries in the country.
The initiative «Belarus – the Country of My Future» actively involves young people in studying Belarusian history and book culture, broadens the horizons of schoolchildren and is popular among teachers. The active participation of Svetlana Yelenskaya makes the Lenin Library a center of patriotic education and international cooperation, opening the doors to new ideas and opportunities for the younger generation.
A true symbol of professionalism and dedication is the work of Natalia Fenchenko, the leading bibliographer of the information and bibliographic work department. Using the method of analytical description of articles in the BELMARC format, she creates bibliographic records for the electronic catalog, not only exceeding standard production standards, but also inspiring colleagues with the quality of execution. Her contribution to the formation of the corporate information resource «Regional Union Electronic Catalog» (RUEC) of the Vitebsk Region is significant. Editing work on the combined multilingual database «Artists of the Vitebsk Region» makes cultural heritage more accessible.
Natalia Fenchenko's experience and professionalism in literary and editorial editing are highly appreciated by the management of the publishing department of the National Library of Belarus.
As an enthusiast of her business, tirelessly promoting library culture and education, she has created and successfully conducts original thematic excursions around the library.
High assessment of the professional activities of librarians, focused on youth and the intellectual future of the country, reflects an understanding of the current role of the library as an educational center and a source of knowledge.
Congratulations and are proud of the successes of our colleagues! We wish all library employees health, well-being and success in all endeavors!
