Scientific and practical conference «Current state of public libraries of the Republic of Belarus»

Heads and specialists of public libraries of the Vitebsk region took part in the scientific and practical conference «Current state of public libraries of the Republic of Belarus», which took place on September 13 in the National Library of Belarus and was timed to coincide with the celebration of the Day of Libraries of Belarus.
The report «Libraries of the Vitebsk region: the search for new opportunities in the digital era» was made by the deputy director of the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V. Lenin, Olga Komendantova.
The main result of the conference was the signing of agreements on connecting regional libraries to the electronic library of the National Library of Belarus.
The event ended with an award ceremony for the winners of the XXXII Republican competition «Library – the center of national culture».
