Special commemorative postage stamp dedicated to the issue of the postal project «1030th anniversary of Orthodoxy in the Belarusian lands»

On September 22, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus issued a new postal block «1030th anniversary of Orthodoxy in the Belarusian lands».

On this day in the cities of 15 dioceses the postal blocks were simultaneously marked with a special envelope.

The solemn ceremony of the official cancellation of the postage stamp was held in our library in Vitebsk. The event was attended by the head of the Department of Culture of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Piotr Podgursky, director of the Vitebsk branch of the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Belpochta» Sergey Maksak and the first vice-rector of the Vitebsk Theological Seminary Archpriest Konstantin Izofatov.

The library staff prepared a book exhibition «Sources of Belarusian Spirituality» for this festive event.
