Presentation of a book «The Squirrel» by Andrei Gerashchenko

On May 5, the library held a presentation of the book «The Squirrel» by Vitebsk author and member of the Union of Writers of Belarus Andrei Gerashchenko.
The illustrator from Novopolotsk Anna Lukashok introduced the pupils of 5-6 grades of the state educational establishment «Vitebsk Gymnasium № 8» with a story about the tragic fate of a Belarusian boy during the Great Patriotic War and talked about her work on the design of the book.
The presentation started with welcoming speeches of a chairperson of Vitebsk regional branch of the Association «Union of writers of Belarus» Tamara Krasnova-Gusachenko, prose writers Valery Kasatkin and Nikolay Khokhlov, poet Valentina Shirinova, a chairperson of Vitebsk city organization «Brotherhood» of public association «Belarusian union of veterans of the war in Afghanistan» Valery Ananchenko.
Each of those present received a book signed by Andrei Gerashchenko as a gift.
