Dialogue Platform «Towards Referendum»

On February 2, the library hosted a dialogue platform to discuss changes and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus «Towards Referendum».

The event was attended by the head of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of Zheleznodorozhny district administration of Vitebsk Olga Aleshkovich and the director of Vitebsk branch of the International University «MITSO», candidate of historical sciences, deputy of Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Alexander Dedinkin.

At the meeting were considered the stages of development of the basic law of the country, were explained the essence and content of the proposed changes. In particular, it was noted that the Draft Constitution included a number of directions relating to social policy, preservation of national identity and historical memory, education of traditional family values; were discussed changes and additions with regard to the constitutional status of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

When summing up the results of the meeting, it was noted that the updated Constitution of the Republic of Belarus will meet the requirements of the present time, provide further improvement of the life of our country, and the duty of every citizen is to come to the referendum and give their vote for peace, consent and worthy future.
