Presentation of the Book «Saving the Memory of Generations»

On October 16, the presentation of the book «Saving the Memory of Generations» by Larisa Brueva and Marina Frolova, took place in the library. The book is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Belarus liberation from Nazi invaders and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Materials about the veteran of the Great Patriotic War retired lieutenant colonel Viktor Tereshchenko and about military monument in the village Kopti at Vitebsk Region are taken the central stage in the book.

Larisa Brueva– member of the regional organizing committee of the memory perpetuation of Fatherland's defenders and victims of war, the head of Vitebsk regional center of heroic-patriotic education «Poshuk».During the presentation, Larisa Brueva told the story aboutthe monument's creation at the memorial in the village Kopti.The main attention was paid to the Viktor Tereshchenko activities, who, together with his like-minded people created the memorial and continues to improve it. Viktor Tereshchenko attended at the presentation and talked about several episodes of his military career.

Natalya Neusheva - a Chief Specialist of the main branch of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs at Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, spoke about the perpetuation of the memory of the Great Patriotic War heroes. Valery Marchenko – a member of Vitebsk regional branch of Belarus Writers Union, publicist, guard retired lieutenant colonel and chairman of Vitebsk council of veterans – Larisa Olenskaya noted the importance of Larisa Brueva and Viktor Tereshchenko works.
